Voile

A soft, fine, sheer fabric with a slightly crisp feel. Usually made from plain woven cotton, but can also be made from acetate, silk or rayon. It is lightweight see through and has a good drape. It is used to make summer clothes and curtains.

Description

  • Voile is a very soft fabric and very comfortable on skin; It is an extremely thin fabric .
  • It is usually made of 100% cotton or cotton blended with linen or polyester.
  • It is a light-weighted fabric and so it is generally used for soft garments such as clothing for babies, lingerie and sheer curtains
  • It has a higher thread count and a tighter weave than most other fabric; this makes it very soft and silky to the touch.
